Higher Horizons provides both Head Start and Early Head Start program options. All educational services are customized to the individual child's developmental level (including children with disabilities) and considers each child's temperament, interests, and learning style. Higher Horizons Head Start & Early Head Start also respects the culture, language, and family of each child.

Children who are 3 to 5 years old are eligible for Head Start services. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.

Application Guidelines Before you can enroll your child/children in the Higher Horizons Head Start & Early Head Start program, you must meet the US Department of Health and Human Services Income Guidelines. For example, for a family of 3, the total household income must be at or below $19,090.
