Head Start Center Based (three - five year olds) “No cost to you” services are provided to families who meet federal low-income guidelines. This program is available to children who are three years old by August 31 of program year, and all four year olds. Services Include:• Half-day classes, Monday - Thursday.• Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.• Located in the natural settings of Discovery Park, the classrooms offer rich and natural environments for creative play and learning.• The educational curriculum integrates Native values and traditions of the unique ethnic backgrounds of our families.• Child Development, Social, Health & Nutrition Services, and Disability Services• Transportation when possible.

Who is Eligible?

Children who are 3 to 5 years old are eligible for Head Start services. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.
