Head Start is a federally funded program for low-income families. You may be eligible for Head Start if:  You have a child that is three or four years of age You are receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Your income is at or below 100% to 130% of poverty  You are homeless as defined by the McKinney Vento Act You have a family member living in your home that is receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) You have a child in foster care  You have a child in Kinship care
