Eastern Plains Head Start (EPHS) serves 7 communities throughout Eastern New Mexico. Its administrative offices are located in Tucumcari.
Who is Eligible?
Children who are 3 to 5 years old are eligible for Head Start services. Pregnant women and
children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and
families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for
services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be
eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some
grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines
as well.
Families are encouraged to apply.

HOW TO APPLY
You may download a copy of the application by clicking here. The application must be printed, completed, and sent to or dropped off at your local center (address below). Because signatures and verifications (age, immunizations, family income) are required, electronic submission is not supported.
To have an application sent to you, you may:
Email application@epcaa.org. Please include your name, your home and mailing addresses, the name of the child or children applying, and your telephone number;
Call the Enrollment Office at 575-461-9807;
Pick one up at your local Eastern Plains Head Start or Early Head Start center at one of the addresses below.
