Mission Neighborhood Centers, Inc. provides early childhood learning environments that truly reflect the values, language and cultural identity of the children served. Teachers intentionally promote and support dual language learning (home language Spanish and English) and actively engage children in age-appropriate activities and other stimulating experiences to bring about optimal learning for all children in order for them to grow to their fullest potential.

Who is Eligible?

Children who are 3 to 5 years old are eligible for Head Start services. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.

EnrollmentFor information about enrollment at one of our Mission Head Start Program Locations, please contact our Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance (ERSEA) office at415-920-0123 between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Our office is closed for lunch from 12:30 - 1:00 pm.
