We serve 104 infants and toddlers and 16 pregnant mothers at three sites. A full complement of prenatal and social services is tracked to ensure the birth of healthy babies who then enter the Early Head Start Child Development Centers.

Who is Eligible?

Children who are 3 to 5 years old are eligible for Head Start services. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.

How to Apply
Registration is taken at the center where your child will attend. Please see the Head Start center locations list and contact the appropriate center. hat You Need to Bring: Child’s Birth Certificate Proof of Income for the last 12 months – W-2 or 1040 forms, salary stubs, or documentation of Unemployment, Public Assistance, SSI 1099, Child Support Shot records (with HIB) Form 3231 (Replaced the Gold Certificate) Medicaid Card (if eligible), Peach Care (if eligible), Private Insurance Documentation of special needs or disability as determined by Babies Can’t Wait Early Intervention Program for infants and toddlers 0-3, or documentation of disability or special need for 3-5 year olds. We will help refugee or immigrant families without birth certificates or Social Security cards to get substitute documentation. Contact a center near you.
