o We have a licensed child care staff who guides the students in the child care centers.o We have a registered nurse who is available to our students and their babies all day long.o The aim of the program is to provide a warm atmosphere that stimulates self-expression and self-confidence.o We have a family environment where learning happens naturally.o Students practice what they learn in the classroom through interaction with the babies in the child care centers.o We hope they will pass along these learned skills to their own children.
Who is Eligible?
Children who are 3 to 5 years old are eligible for Head Start services. Pregnant women and
children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and
families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for
services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be
eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some
grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines
as well.
Families are encouraged to apply.

Pregnant and/or parenting students may call 386-322-6102 or stop by any day of the week between 8:00am and 3:00pm.
