Description:: The Early Head Start Program was created in 1994 and provides the comprehensive services of Head Start to pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and their families. In our effort to support these families, we provide extended day care services for working families and families involved in vocational and educational training. The JCCEO Early Head Start Program (EHS) operates twelve months a year, five days a week, and currently serves 106 infants and toddlers, 42 pregnant women, and their families. Parents are also offered opportunities to develop skills that will help them function more effectively as adults in their day-to-day lives. Families are encouraged to enhance their parent/child relationships by participating in all aspects of the program.
