How To Apply:
To enroll a child in a Head Start program contact the Head Start Program closest to you to arrange an appointment to complete an application. Head Start staff can come to your home to complete the application if needed. Calling 1-800-404-1242 will also connect you with a Head Start staff member who can assist you. When completing the application you will need to have a copy of the child's immunization record, and proof of family income. You can also contact us by filling in the information form and a Head Start staff member will contact you to complete an application.

Head Start has been in existence for 42 years providing a safe healthy learning environment, a developmentally appropriate education, and nutritious meals to disadvantaged "at risk" children. Head Start has been in Plumas County, on the fairgrounds, for at least 30 years.
