Description:: Stamford Head Start addresses a childâ€™s needs in all areas of development â€“ physical, social, emotional and cognitive. The Stamford Head Start program provides health screenings completed within the first 45 days of attendance. Further, development assessments are conducted three times per year. There is one family service worker per 35 families and 10% of the available slots are for kids with disabilities. The Parent Policy Council serves as an oversight board and monthly family committee meetings are held at each location.
