How To Apply:
Enrollment info: Three to five year olds are eligible to attend Franklin. For center-based programs, a child must be three on or before September 1. Each youngster must complete medical and dental requirements prior to enrollment. Fees/tution: All Franklin Early Childhood programs are free of charge to the families of children who are enrolled. State and federal guidelines apply to Head Start or Pre-K placement. For more information, call Principal Aletta Lawrence at (618) 244-8087. Morning & full-day pupils arrive at 8:00 a.m., while the afternoon session begins at 11:30 a.m. Morning students are dismissed at 11:30 a.m. Afternoon & full-day students are dismissed at 3:000 p.m.

Mount Vernon City Schools Preschool Program will provide an age appropriate comprehensive early childhood program for 3, 4 and 5-year-old children and their families. The comprehensive program in partnership with the community will meet educational, emotional, social, health, nutritional and psychological needs of children and families. The program will encourage and support family self-sufficiency through staff trainings, parent education and family partnerships. The vision of District #80 is always seeking, always learning and its mission is to challenge all students to seek a brighter future.
