Description:: As one of only three federal Early Head Start and Head Start grant recipients in the Chicago area, the Ounce of Prevention Fund provides high-quality child care and preschool services to 1,400 children through partnerships with six community agencies. Our centers offer half-day and full-day services for children from birth to age five; a few centers also offer home-based services. The Ounce also operats a doula program for 30 women on Chicago's Soud Side.
