Description:: Head Start is a federally funded preschool and family development program for low income children age three to five and their families. Head StartÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s educational program is designed to meet the individual needs of each child. Children attend the program three hours a day Monday through Friday. The curriculum follows both the Head Start Child Outcomes Framework as well as the Illinois Learning Standards. Families are encouraged to participate in a variety of program activities throughout the year.
