How To Apply:: Q: How do I apply for Head Start?A: Call or come into any of the CAA offices and ask to sign up for Head Start. You will need: proof of income & birth certificate to begin your application.Q: How old do children have to be to enroll?A: Children must be 3 years old by December 1.Q: Are all families low income?A: No. Head Start services 10% of children over the income guidelines.Q: Does Head Start provide transportation?A: Yes, we have limited transportation.Q: Does Head Start provide meals?A: Yes: morning session have breakfast and lunch, afternoon session have lunch and a snack, full day sessions have breakfast, lunch and a snack.

Children who complete Head Start are prepared for kindergarten, excited about learning, confident in their own abilities and ready to succeed. We offer two programs to best suit their needs:Center Based: held four half days a week, three and a half hours per day.Full Day: held five days a week, for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
