Enrollment The Early Childhood Learning Center provides vital services to prepare your child for a successful school career. Services are free to those who qualify. If you would like to enroll your child in the Head Start Program or feel that your child might need assistance by ECLC, please click on the service type on the left column. Head Start is a federally funded program for low-income preschool children (three and four year olds) in Greene County.Head Start is a comprehensive child development program focusing on early childhood education including: health (physical, dental, and mental health), nutrition and social services. The program is individualized to assist a child's development in all areas. Children with disabilities are served within a fully integrated setting. Head Start operates under the premise that parents are the primary educators of their children. To support this philosophy, Head Start offers extensive parent involvement opportunities.
