Description:: Long Island Head Start's early childhood development services area provides educational services to the children, parents, and staff of the entire agency. We work closely with the other service areas in providing many of these services. We also carry out a wide variety of trainings and workshops... many of which overlap into our other service areas. In addition, we attend local and national conferences/training seminars in order to keep abreast of the latest issues in early childhood education. LIHS works closely with the community's local education agencies (LEAs) in maintaining ongoing collaborations in the area of child development and education.
