Description:: BKS is recognized as one of the best school readiness programs in New York City (Root Cause-Social Impact Research October 2010). A growing body of research shows that childhood poverty can cause lasting changes in the brain unless quality intervention efforts begin early. The BKS program has a profound and tangible effect on the children it serves. While many children enter the program behind age expectations, more than 90% of children have caught up and meet or exceed age epxectations! The BKS program is strategically designed to provide academic and social enrichment that are rooted in best practices and are the hallmarks of high-quality preschools everywhere.
