Who can access services? Parsons’ Early Head Start serves families who live in Schenectady County, are pregnant or have a child below the age of 3 years, and have an income at or below the federal poverty level. How are services accessed? Call 518-346-5360.

Description:
Early Head Start in Schenectady serves pregnant women and parents with children up to the age of 3 years. Early Head Start has both a home-based and a center-based program. By enrolling families early in their children’s lives, we hope to improve child development and health outcomes through education, health and family advocacy services. Families in the Early Head Start Program benefit through direct services provided by staff as well as through partnerships with other area service providers. The program uses early childhood curricula to provide ongoing assessment of and individualized planning for each enrolled child.
