Head Start tends to the development of each child with attention to individual strength and needs. Children with disabilities are included in the program, and are provided with individual education and special education services as needed. Socialization, language development, and physical and emotional development are emphasized. The goal of the program is for the children to become independent, self-confident, and inquisitive learners by providing them with the educational, social, medical and nutritional services they need.
